Strawberry and Goat Cheese Bruschetta – Purely Essential

Strawberries washed with Purely Essential Fruit and Vegetable Wash, top goat cheese schmear on toasted Baguette.  Top it off with fresh, clean basil and a balsamic drizzle.  Sweet, tangy, and a hint of salt.  Perfect to serve to the mom in your life!



Baguette, sliced diagonally (12 slices)

1 TBSP Olive Oil

8 oz goat cheese (softened to room temp)

1 lb strawberries, washed and sliced

1 cup Balsamic Vinegar

2 Tbsp Brown Sugar

Fresh Basil, washed and chopped



1. Combine vinegar and brown sugar in a saucepot over medium-high heat and bring up to a bubble.  Reduce to medium, and cook until reduced by half.  Should be thick and consistency of syrup, able to coat back of spoon.  About 10 minutes.  Set aside to cool to room temperature.

2. Place bread slices on a foil-lined baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil.  Place under broiler until golden brown.

3. Combine strawberries and 2 tsp fresh basil leaves.

4. Schmear goat cheese on each slice of toasted bread.  Next top with strawberry/basil mixture then drizzle the balsamic glaze over each one.  Sprinkle with chopped fresh basil.


Serve Immediately.
